We first started working with Jake when he was a long haired, inquisitive 7th grader. Through years of private sessions and Sunday training sessions we came to realize he would never be satisfied with being just "good". He wanted to be the best and his quest for perfection resulted in a tremendous High School and Collegiate career. We have never trained anyone who had more questions or thirst for knowledge about technique. Beginning in High School and continuing throughout his Senior year of College, he would routinely send films and ask for guidance.
After winning Head to Head X, Koehnke signed with Air Force and spent his 1st two seasons honing his skills, preparing for his opportunity. He would not be denied. During his Junior season, he took over as the full time placekicker and at one point was handling both the punting and kicking duties (rare for specialists these days). Jake's pursuit for perfection culminated in just that.... Perfection.
During his Senior season, he connected on a 57 yard FG and ended the season a PERFECT 14-14. He had the most made FGs without a miss of anyone in the nation. A fitting end for a young man who was neer satisfied with "good".
Jake will forever be known as Mr. Perfect.
