Rocky Mountain College
Orange Coast College
Corona Del Mar High School
Griff Amies - 2012 High School All-American. State record holder for FG's in a season (22). If you ever want to meet a kid with passion, courage and a drive to be the best, then Griff Amies is your guy. Griff first came to West Coast Kicking Academy when he was 12, not playing youth football, just looking for something to excel at. "Excel" would be an understatement.
From the day we met him, Griff worked tirelessly on his technique and refined his ability to focus on the moment. The years of training sessions, working his craft paid off! A competitive kid, who has showed his merit in all 10 Head to Head Competitions, winning in 2013 and making it at least to the Semifinals on 7 occasions.
He was only able to play 1 varsity season, but he was ready. In his first game he connected on a 52 Yarder... 21 FG's later he was the Sate record holder, All American and CIF Champion! He seized the moment and made the most of his opportunities.
Griff is the kid who's going to come through for you in the clutch. He thrives under pressure and loves to prove people wrong.
